Arriving in Giethoorn, after a 1.5-hour journey through a typical Dutch landscape, we'll take a boat cruise to explore the village by its narrow canals and small islands, which are interconnected by a total of 176 bridges to the mainland. In fact, on each of these islands, you'll find houses (farmhouses) which are built in the 18th and 19th centuries. The village Giethoorn has no roads in the center, making transport by boat or on foot, an experience you must to do. On the route to Giethoorn, we'll visit a historical Windmill that you can explore from the inside. It's possible to talk to the miller himself to learn about the history of the windmills.
