Katsu hasn't kept up with the times, with an old-school decor and a definite lack of the eclectic panache that most coffee shops tend to flaunt. However, if you move past all the negative vibes emanated from the exterior, you would be surprised to find that the interior is actually quite homey, with some good ol' jazz music playing and an oldster crowd of people, most of them being Dutch or regulars. The staff are pretty genial, and gives excellent recommendations on its products. The regulars are also very helpful, if you don't get on their bad side that is, and recommend some superb puffs that would make you feel like your head's floating away from your body, which is probably what everyone's experiencing, so feel free to toke up and strike a nice conversation with some old-timer.
