It is the first museum to be situated in an airport, and likewise, the Schiphol Airport is the first of its kind to facilitate a museum on its premises. This remarkable museum holds a distinct collection of works from the Dutch Golden Age. The Rijksmuseum Schiphol hosts three temporary exhibitions every year, in addition to its permanent one.
